Musicians included the Westchester Brassmen Drum & Bugle Corps, Archbishop Stepinac High School Band, Harrison High School Band and Yonkers Military Band.
A toy train and a replica of Christopher Columbus' ship the Santa Maria cruised the mile-long parade route along Halstead Avenue.
There also were plenty of politicians handing out campaign literature before, during and after Monday's Columbus Day festivities.
The parade was just one part of a weekend long celebration dubbed "It's Great to Live in Harrison,'' which included fireworks, a car show, an open house at the Harrison Police Department, the Italian American Tribute Show at the West Harrison Firehouse and a festival with food and rixdes at Ma Riis Park.
