Habitat For Humanity In New Rochelle Plans 'Bridge Of Spies' Night

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Habitat For Humanity of Westchester will host a special screening event for Steven Spielberg's 2015 fact-based film "Bridge of Spies," starring Tom Hanks, on Thursday, April 14.

The event will include a screening of "Bridge of Spies" and a silent auction of the film's props. Popcorn and light refreshments will be available. Guest are encouraged to dress up in 1950s attire.

During the Cold War, James B. Donovan (portrayed by Tom Hanks) is entrusted with negotiating the release of Francis Gary Powers — an American pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union — in exchange for Rudolf Abel, a captive and convicted Soviet KGB spy held under the custody of the United States.

The entrance fee is $10. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the screening/silent auction will begin at 7 p.m.
