Commercially successful and technically groundbreaking but wildly inflammatory, D.W. Griffith's film depicting the birth of the Ku Klux Klan launched protests by the NAACP on its release in 1915. The True Light Revealed Film Series presents powerful, controversial and emotional films telling the stories of the much less talked-about experiences of Black Americans. Sponsored by the IVY (Important Values for Youth) Programs, the Yonkers Human Rights Commission and City Councilman Michael Sabatino.
