GREENWICH, Conn. A Robert De Niro movie will be allowed to shoot late at night in town after the Board of Selectman approved waiving its usual filming curfew.
The producers of the comedy, called The Wedding, requested permission to work during the towns filming curfew from midnight to 6 a.m. July 29 at Burning Tree Country Club. The board unanimously approved the request at its Thursday meeting, according to Greenwich Time.
De Niro has been nominated for six Academy Awards and has won two for his roles in Raging Bull and The Godfather: Part II. The cast of the movie includes Robin Williams, New Canaan native Katherine Heigl, Darien native Topher Grace, Diane Keaton and Susan Sarandon, according to imdb.com. Justin Zackham, who attended Greenwich High School, is directing.
