YONKERS N.Y. - The hosts of the Boomer and Carton in the Morning radio show signed whiskey bottles, talked sports with fans and took pictures with kids at Yonkers' Stew Leonard’s on Friday afternoon.

Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason and his WFAN Sports Radio co-host Craig Carton signed bottles of Buschmills Irish Whiskey and Irish Honey at Stew Leonard’s Wines. For each bottle sold, the store will donate $1 to the Boomer Esiason Foundation , an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.

Buschmills presented the idea for the event and planning began last fall, said Meghan Bell, public relations director for Yonkers' Stew Leonard’s Wines.

"We have a strong relationship with Buschmills, who are very supportive of the Boomer Esiason Foundation," said Bell. "Boomer and Carton are huge around here, so we knew it would be a success. Besides it being fun with food and drinks, it's for a good cause, which is why having them here is so exciting."

Even though this event will raise some money for the foundation, it's all about giving back to the fans, said Esiason.

"The Buschmills company is great and will support us with about a half a million every year, so we just wanted to give back to the community," said Esiason, whose son has cystic fibrosis. "We know we have plenty of fans around here and interacting with them is always something we want to do when we can. I love Yonkers and I've even been in this store before. I love everything about this."

WFAN is a great station, so it was a good enough reason to come down and buy some whiskey, said Yonkers resident Sal Fata.

"I've never met Boomer or Carton before even though I listen to them every morning on the radio," said Fata. "I've never had Buschmills before today either, but I tried it and it's actually pretty good. Being a sports fan this is great. I get to talk to some awesome guys and get their signature, and it's for a good cause too. It's a win-win."
