YONKERS, N. Y. -- Some shoppers took advantage of last-minute deals Wednesday before the Nepperhan Avenue A&P in Yonkers closed its doors for good Wednesday night, according to News 12 Hudson Valley.
Yet many are still upset that the supermarket will reopen as a CVS store with a Walgreens close by. A bankruptcy judge approved the purchase, News 12 Hudson Valley said.
Yonkers city officials are hoping to find out soon when the new store will open, News 12 Hudson Valley reported.
