YONKERS, N.Y. -- In the five years since it was built in Yonkers, the so-called upscale, lifestyle center of Ridge Hill has exceeded expectations and allayed some fears, according to a report by lohud.com.
The economic times were tough when the developers, Forest City Ratner Companies, broke ground on the project and questions were raised both about its feasibility and the traffic it would generate, lohud.com reported.
Ridge Hill, which started with 11 stores, businesses and restaurants, now has 69, and predictions of massive traffic jams have failed to materialize, the lohud.com story said.
Among the things on Ridge Hill’s immediate horizon are: a restaurant, a shoe store, a home improvement story, and a hotel, the lohud.com story said.
