“Yonkers was identified as a great place with long-term growth potential,” said LongHorn Steakhouse’s Managing Partner Brett Bailey. “We’re very excited to open the doors to the Yonkers community.”
The American West themed chain steakhouse, which is made to look sort of like a rancher’s home, is 6,359 square feet, can serve more than 220 guests and is expected to create more than 80 to 100 new jobs.
The décor includes contemporary artwork and horse sculptures along with warm tones that compliment the wood, stone and steel fixtures and finishes.
LongHorn Steakhouse has 470 locations in 40 states throughout the U.S. and serves a variety of fresh steak cuts.
LongHorn’s happy hour, dubbed the “Prime Time” menu, is available Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The restaurant will open featuring LongHorn’s new winter Peak Season and Chef’s Showcase menus, as well as the new Turf and Surf limited time offer, and the Prime Time menu.
The Turf and Surf menu currently includes the Renegade Sirloin and Lobster Shrimp Mac & Cheese.
The Winter Peak Season and Chef’s Showcase menus include dishes like Parmesan Mushroom Risotto and the Champagne Lobster Filet and Bourbon Molasses Pork Tenderloin.
“We’re really looking forward to serving the Yonkers and Westchester County community,” said Bailey. “All of our restaurants participate in the LongHorn Harvest program to help feed the hungry. Each day, we ‘harvest’ surplus, wholesome food that wasn't served in our restaurants and we donate it to local community food banks.”
LongHorn’s Yonkers location will donate its meats, baked potatoes and vegetables to the Eastchester Community Action Program. The restaurant also raises more than $3,000 at Friends and Family event for the White Plains chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
