Bliss Friday, Small Business Saturday, Kick Off Holidays At Ridge Hill

YONKERS, N.Y. -- The holidays at Ridge Hill are in full swing, with several events coming up over the next few weeks.

The festivities kick off on Friday. Black Friday is “Bliss Friday” at Ridge Hill, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 11p.m. with a special deal: those who purchase a $100 Ridge Hill gift card will receive an additional gift card worth $20.

The offer is limited to one per person. Check with individual retailers for specific deals.

The following day, is Small Business Saturday, an event emphasizing the contributions of small businesses to Ridge Hill’s community.

On Dec. 1, Ridge Hill is once again participating in Giving Tuesday, this year in support of the local charity ANDRUS.

Participants can bring a new, unwrapped gift for a child age 6 to16 to guest services in the WESTMED building and receive free parking.

The next big event is Santa Cares, a unique experience where children with special needs and their families are invited to enjoy a photo session with Santa at The Hill.

The event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Later that day, The Ridge Hill Menorah Lighting at Fountain Plaza will take place.

Hosted by Rabbi Mendy Hurwitz and the Chabad-Lubavitch of Yonkers, the event begins with activities at 3:30 p.m. The menorah will be lighted at 4 p.m.

The band White Shabbos will be performing. There will also be arts and crafts, including dreidel painting for the kids. Jelly donuts and chocolate gelt will be provided free of charge.
